Description

The Blank Center’s #How2Tuesday series continues on Tuesday, March 26 at 5pm in the Blank Center Televideo Room: How to Be Bankable in 2019 with Citizens Bank!

When entrepreneurs are looking to fund their startup, they often think of raising money from investors. However, according to the Kauffman Foundation, “about 40% of initial startup capital in a newly founded business is debt that originates from banks.” How can entrepreneurs better access this source of capital? Lindsay Blakey, Vice President, Business Development Sales Manager, and Michael DiCiaccio, Vice President, Business Banking Sales Manager, will share their insights and tips for entrepreneurs looking to get bank financing. Attendees from the session will come away with understanding:

- What banks look for to lend to companies – both traditionally and with Fintechs who have come into the industry in recent years
- How companies can present themselves and what they can show financially to become bankable
- What does the banking landscape look like today; what trends and risks are we seeing
